Daisha Barnes, Esq.
Daisha joined Smith Dominguez in June of 2020 as a law clerk. Raised as a military child, she lived in various states and overseas. However, she now calls Fayetteville, North Carolina her home. She attended East Carolina University and graduated in 2017. During her time at East Carolina University, she earned a Criminal Justice (BS) and Political Science (BA) degrees. During her time in Pirate Nation, Daisha volunteered at the Pirate Tutoring Center, became a member of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., served as an Ambassador for the African and African American Studies Program, and was inducted into the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society.
Daisha graduated from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in May of 2021. During her time at Campbell Law, she held leadership positions in the Black Law Student Association and Hispanic Law Student Association, participated in the Campbell Law Innocence Project, Reentry Pro Bono Project, and the Community Law Clinic. She was also a participant of the Black Law Student Association Trial Team, where she helped her team make it to the Final Four.
Daisha recently passed the July 2021 North Carolina Bar and after becoming licensed she will practice both Family Law and Traffic Tickets. While not at work, she enjoys traveling, cuddling with her cat, Liam, and baking.
